Everyone was excited about the end of 2023 being 123123. Las Vegas was inundated with people wanting their wedding to be on that date. I am having trouble understanding the significance. The sequence, 123, 123, sounds like dance instructions for learning the waltz.
But, not to be left out of weird numerology, I thought about today, 1/1/24. First, I noticed 1 plus 1 plus 2 equals 4. So that must mean 2024 will be the year things add up and come to a summation.
Maybe the 91 indictments against the orange buffoon will add up to conviction and a long prison sentence. Maybe the 10 Senate seats most likely to flip will all go democratic and the house will also go that way, making it possible to actually accomplish something this year. I read that the house usually passes about 350 bills a year and in 2023 barely passed 37.
Secondly, 1 plus 1 plus 2 plus 4 equals 8. Eight is a significant number in Pythagorean numerology representing victory, prosperity, and overcoming. Wow, would it not be amazing to see 2024 be the year we overcome the stupidity in this country and move on from debates about abortion or transgender rights or which books are banned. Or, even better, overcoming our reluctance to have gun control and lessen the mass shootings we have become so accustomed to.
Third, and most important, who really cares about numbers. Numbers, like bible verses, can be manipulated and interpreted any number of ways. (A good example is the book “The End of Average”, where I found out there is no such thing as average.) Anyone who has been in a statistics class can vouch for that. What is important is our attitude and outlook as this new year begins.
Why not look at today as a fresh start, a new beginning, a chance to make things different. Why not take the energy that goes with a new year and focusing it on overcoming, prosperity, and victory for the human race.
